Saturday, 13 September 2014, Dirk Wijnalda became the Dutch long distance Triathlon Champion for the fourth time. What's more, he also won silver at the European Championships. All in all, an impressive performance!
The time clocked by Dirk on Saturday, after swimming 3.8 km, cycling 180 km and running 42.195 km, was 8 hours, 33 minutes and 9 seconds.
Dirk also won the Dutch Half Triathlon Championships twice in the past. In addition to his sporting activities, he works a 30-hour week at Olympos as a coordinator for the fitness centre and the Kalymnos climbing wall. Needless to say, we are very proud to have an amazing sportsman like Dirk in our Olympos team!
