Get ready for your distance in the Utrecht Marathon, powered by Utrecht Science Park on Sunday 19 April 2020! 


Do you want to take up running and intend to complete the quarter marathon (10,55 k)? Or are you an experienced runner wishing to further improve your running capacity, to exceed your own limits or increase your pace on the half (21.1 km) or full marathon (42.195 km)? 


The once-a-week practice under the supervision of a professional trainer ensures that you will improve rapidly and responsibly. Running in a group is far more fun and encouraging. The trainer will provide you weekly with individual feedback and a task for the week after.


You can opt to join either of four different types of practice, geared to your level and ambition/distance: 



The practices will be offered in Periods 1 - 4 and include 10 weeks/lessons per period. Every 10 weeks you will have the chance to sign in and join the practices. This allows you to attend a specific period without having participated in the previous one.  Registration starts from two weeks prior to the start of the period/practices. The next course (= course period 3) starts in the week of 10 February! 

Registration and payment

To register for one of the running practices scroll to the red table below (payment via iDeal) or go to the Olympos Service Desk. An OlymPas is required if you want to register for these practices. 

If you do not yet possess an OlymPas, you may purchase one when signing up for the running practice online (you can choose either for the term of one year or for at least the term of the running practice / period - so that is two or three months). You can also purchase the OlymPas for a year on this page



To register for these practices, you will need to have a valid OlymPas. Your OlymPas must be valid during the full practice period. 

NB: The OlymPas provides you with all-in access to nearly all Olympos sports programmes, such as unlimited use of the fitness facilities, participation in all group lessons (over 80 a week), use of the squash, tennis and climbing facilities and much more! Running group lesson on Monday
Are you a member of staff and would you prefer to run on Mondays? Or would you like to run more than once a week? Your OlymPas also offers free participation in the running group lesson for members of staff (Monday, 4.30-5.30 PM). You can book an individual group lesson (unlike the running course, you do not sign up for a whole period). Click here to book the Monday group lesson

Practical information

Before each practice session we assemble in the main hall. Changing rooms and showers are available at Olympos. Lockers are available near the fitness hall. The Sports Café offers drinks and / or meals. For address, travel directions and more information about parking, click here.
