USV Protos
USV Protos is the student volleyball club in Utrecht. With seven men’s and eleven women’s teams we take part in the official leagues of the Nederlandse Volleybal Bond (Nevobo) from September till April. In addition, many activities are organized by the club. Besides that, most volleyball players in the region will admit that home Saturdays of Protos are legendary.
League
Protos’ first women’s team plays in the Third Division, the first men’s team on National level in the First Division. In addition, all lower levels until fourth class are represented. The teams practice once or twice a week and there are 22 matches on Saturdays each year.
Social activities
Protos is well-known for its ability to combine (high-level) volleyball and social activities. Every year the club has many active members who regularly organise fantastic activities. From the Protos INN open-grass tournament to various great parties, from beach volleyball clinics to mixed tournaments, and from the ski trip to our introductory camp: we have a busy Protos calendar all year-round!

Want to become a member?
If you wish to become a member of an SSC, you will have to:
- Pay membership fees to the club of your choice. The fees may differ per club.
- Own a valid OlymPas or Sports Club Card. If you’re in rate category A an OlymPas is required. If you’re in rate category B or C, you can choose between an OlymPas or the Sports Club Card.
- Register for free at Olympos as a member of you SSC.
