Running practices

Do you want to take up running and intend to complete the quarter marathon (10,55 k)? Or are you an experienced runner wishing to further improve your running capacity, to exceed your own limits or increase your pace on the half or full marathon?

 

Olympos offers ten-week courses running for all levels. The once-a-week practice under the supervision of a professional trainer ensures that you will improve rapidly and responsibly. Running in a group is far more fun and encouraging. The trainer will provide you weekly with individual feedback and a task for the week after. You will be running in the beautiful area of and around the Utrecht Science Park and Amelisweerd. 

The Running training on Wednesdays is downtown! 

 

NEW: Running training in the city centre on Wednesdays! 

Olympos now offers running training sessions in the city centre. Ideal if you live in the city and don't feel like coming to Science Park. We gather at the entrance to Parnassos (Kruisstraat 201). From there, we look for the beautiful (green) bits of the city, such as the paths along the canals. (Please note: There are no lockers. The trainer can keep keys, wallet and phone for you).

 

Course period

The Olympos running practices will be offered in period 1 to 5.

The course periods are consecutive; however, you need to register for each course period of 10 weeks separately (so new athletes also get a chance to participate). You can register and take part at any time (even when the course has already started). Upon registration, your OlymPas must be valid at least until the end of the ongoing course period.  

 

Registration and payment

To register for one of the running practices scroll to the red table below or go to the Olympos Service Desk. An OlymPas is required if you want to register for these practices. 

If you do not yet possess an OlymPas, you may purchase one when signing up for the running practice online (you can choose either for the term of one year or for at least the term of the running practice / period - so that is two or three months). 

 

Start

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: we gather on the forecourt (next to the calisthenics rack) at Olympos. 
  • Wednesdays: we gather in rhe city centre at the entrance to Parnassos, Kruisstraat 201.

 

 

Rules of use

In order to provide a safe environment it is important that everyone observes the rules of use. Together we are able to ensure that everyone can play sports safely and responsibly.
