USP Running practice for beginners

USP Running practice for beginners

Trainer: Rafael Bouts
Aim: Being able to run 5k non-stop

Practice
The running practice focuses specifically on acquiring a good running technique and gradually building on your power capacity. Both are essential to decrease the risk of injury, which is the main bottleneck for beginning runners in reaching their ambitions. The element of fun in running together and attempting to reach a certain goal should not be underestimated either in this running practice.

In general, the practice will consist of a relaxed warming-up with enough time for you and your fellow runners to share your experiences, to be followed by strength, coordination and running technique exercises. The core element of the practice is the running itself in various practice forms. The trainer will provide both individual and group feedback and tips concerning your posture and technique.  The practice will conclude with a calm cooling-down, with ample room for questions to the trainer and a task for your next practice session.

When?
The USP running practice for beginners takes place weekly on Thursdays from 5.15 to 6.45 PM in periods of ten practices/weeks (Periods 1-4).
