Utrecht Science Park Marathon - Register individually or as a team!
Join the fourth Utrecht Science Park Marathon on Sunday 18 March 2018 and get to meet other students or colleagues from other organisations at the Utrecht Science Park. The Utrecht Science Park Marathon start and finish will be located on the Cambridgelaan in De Uithof. The track offers a great combination of both the city (even passing underneath the Dom Tower) and the countryside on the eastern side of Utrecht.
Students and employees of Utrecht Science Park have the following options:
- USP Team Run (run with your team 10K ; the four best runners of each team enter the team competition against other teams)
- Individual distances (5k, 10k, half or full marathon)
USP Team Run
The USP Team Run is organised especially for staff and students of the organisations at the Utrecht Science Park. You run 10 K in a team of a minimum of four people. In additon to running for your personal best time, you may also become one of the four fastest runners in your team and together enter the wider team competition. A great sportive challenge!
If you sign up before 1 December, registration fees are €93 per team. After this date this is €105. So act swiftly and, with your department, association, committee, fellow-students, housemates or colleagues, build a team of 10K runners! Each team member will get a free T-shirt. Moreover, on 18 March, 2018, the USP Team Runners will be given a special reception with drinks and nibbles at a location near the start/finish. Here you can also make use of the changing rooms and supervised cloakroom.
Teams
Organise a team of at least 4 persons. Your team may consist of runners from one or various organisations. Each team must assign a captain. The captain will be the contact person for the organisation with regard to the registration.

Fees
Registration for the Team Run costs € 93 per team** (including starting number, free USP marathon T-shirt). There will be a special reception for all participants of the Team Run close to the start/finish with drinks and bites (both before and after the run). We also provide changing rooms and an attended cloakroom.

** Registration is free for UU, UMCU and Olympos staff members as you organisations will reimburse your fees.
How to register for the Team Run or individual distances?
- Are you employed with the UU or UMCU? Registration is free (up to a maximum number of participants). Ask your organisation about the free registration or check Intranet.
- Are you employed with Olympos? Send an email to Astrid Tonnaer (a.tonnaer@olympos.nl) to register for free (please indicate your distance or whether you will be participating in the Team Run).
- Are you a student of Utrecht University or a student or staff member of Hogeschool Utrecht or of another than the abovementioned organisations at the Utrecht Science Park? Please register on the marathon website.
- Team Run: The team captain will have to register via the abovementioned link first and create a team.
Special reception for all USP participants
On the day of the USP Marathon itself there will be a special reception close to the start/finish for all participants from the USP organisations to increase the USP community spirit.
- Separate reception space with changing rooms
- Drinks and bites
- Attended cloakroom
- Physiotherapy students of the Hogeschool Utrecht will provide free massages all day long

Utrecht Science Park
The Utrecht Science Park is the main partner in this event; there is a partnership with the University Medical Center Utrecht, Utrecht University, Hogeschool Utrecht and Sportcentrum Olympos. The partnership has a strong focus on health, activity, team building and sustainability.
