You may have come across it before at the circus, on TV or online: aerial acrobatics. High above the ground, suspended from silks or a metal hoop, you combine strength, technique and movement in a unique way. It might seem as though this sport can only be practised by experienced circus performers, but nothing could be further from the truth. You too can learn this now!
With us, you can learn both aerial silks and aerial hoop. We offer these disciplines as separate all-levels courses, so you can discover which form of aerial acrobatics suits you best. No experience is required; everyone is welcome!
During the aerial silks course, you’ll learn to move, twist and wrap yourself in the silks in a fun and safe way. As a beginner, this 10-week course will introduce you to the basics: you’ll learn different foot knots, discover beautiful poses and practise simple sequences. This way, you’ll become increasingly comfortable moving in the air—and upside down!
Do you already have experience with aerial silks? Then we’ll build on what you already know and deepen your technique and strength. You’ll work on longer sequences, different variations, (small) drops and new entry and exit moves. Meanwhile, you’ll steadily build up more strength, control and confidence, so that you can ultimately get more out of the silks.
