Pickleball

Pickleball is a relatively new, but rapidly growing ball sport in the Netherlands – and has been incredibly popular in the United States for years. The game combines elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. The essence of pickleball? Fast and slow, underhand serving, slicing, topspinning, pushing, volleying, dinking, lobbing, smashing, resetting, and rebuilding. And of course: the famous third ball!

Pickleball is known for its sporty and friendly atmosphere, and it's also very accessible.

During three separate lessons of 1.5 hours each, you'll learn the rules of the game, scoring, basic techniques, and basic positions. We'll practice and play competitive matches, with an emphasis on teamwork (doubles).

The pickleball group lesson is free with an OlymPas and is offered on the following days and times:

  • Tuesdays, 18 and 25 November, and 2 December, from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in Halls 3B and C
  • Fridays, 21 and 28 November and 5 December, from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in Halls 3B and C

Reservations can be made up to two days before the lesson.
