Pickleball (open play)
Yes, we’re still playing pickleball!
Pickleball is a relatively new and rapidly growing racket sport in the Netherlands – and has been hugely popular in the United States for years. The game combines elements of tennis, table tennis and badminton. What characterises pickleball? A varied game of fast and slow: underhand serves, slices, topspins, pushes, volleys, drops, lobs, smashes, resets and rebuilding. And of course: the famous third ball!
Pickleball is known for its friendly and sociable atmosphere and is also very accessible.
Following a successful pilot with six introductory sessions, we have purchased all the equipment needed to offer the sport on a regular basis. After a few months of supervised training sessions, it is now time to put what you’ve learnt into practice. That’s why we’re offering two sessions a week where you can play freely. Come and enjoy some friendly matches, with the emphasis on having fun!
All levels are welcome, even if you just want to give it a go.
Participation in pickleball is free with the OlymPas. You do need to book each session; this can be done from seven days in advance.

- Friday from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm in hall 3B
