Utrecht Marathon: Sunday 31 May 2026
The Utrecht Marathon will take place on Sunday 31 May 2026, with the start and finish, as is tradition, at Utrecht Science Park. The combination of running through the historic city center and the beautiful green surroundings makes for a unique running experience.
The 2025 edition drew more than 18,500 participants to Utrecht, making the event a household name among runners from Utrecht and beyond in recent years. This edition features a special addition: the Dutch Half Marathon Championships. A great mix of elite athletics and recreational sports in the heart of the city.

The Utrecht Marathon consists of the following events:
Individual:
- Utrecht Marathon, supported by Utrecht Science Park (42.195 km)
- Utrecht Half Marathon (21.1 km), also the Dutch National Championship!
- 10 km
- Mini Marathon (± 1.5 km)
Teams:
- Business Runs (10 km and Half Marathon)
- Utregse StudentenBokaal (Utrecht Student Cup)
